At Story Type Accurate Transcripts, your source media (whether you
send DATs, CDs, micro- or standard-sized audiocassettes, VHS tapes or hard copy) is
always treated with confidentiality and care. Upon completion of the project, we return all
materials you submitted to us to use for transcription. Digital audio via FTP
We primarily work with digital audio files and can give you an ftp login and password for you to upload your files to us. Other options:
- micro and standard audio cassette
- DAT (digital audio tape)
- VHS video tape, CD
- digital audio files (all types)
- hard copy and handwritten copy
We handle source media with care, but be sure to use padded envelopes or bubble-wrap to make sure your tapes arrive intact.
Transcript Format:
Rates are based on double-spaced 8-1/2 x 11 inch pages, with one-inch margins all around, using 12pt Courier font. Transcripts are returned in Microsoft Word. (At your request, we can provide WordPerfect 5.1, ASCII (plain text) or *.rtf (rich text format) files. We will change your transcript format to suit your needs.)
Delivery:
After completing your transcript, we will email it to you. If you prefer a different delivery method, let us know and we'll send transcripts according to your instructions.
Sending Tapes:
You can send your tapes for $4.05 by using USPS Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation. This covers up to one pound in a Flat Rate Priority Mail envelope. Airborne Express also delivers to the Post Office. Send to:

Important Note:
Please take precautions to insure we receive your tapes undamaged! Remember to use bubble wrap and padded envelopes!
